Women's March
On July 23, 2022 ORA sponsored a Women's March in support of the Pro-Choice movement and in protest of the recent Supreme Court decision against Roe v. Wade.
About 150 people of all ages listened to speeches by clergy, State Legislators, a former Congressman, a grandfather, two teens and a representative of Planned Parenthood in Dorothea Jacobs Grant Park. We then marched with an abundance of signs and voices along Route #1 to the Town center.
The first such event in Ogunquit, it was an important step in both supporting a woman's right to make her own choice over her body and health, and to encourage voting for Pro-Choice candidates in November.
